PCTP has access to high quality research platforms with unique technology in the country. Pando Technology Pole constitutes the main research platform, where the projects of PCTP clients are developed.

Nanotechnology

The work of this laboratory is focused on basic research applied to the areas of materials and nanotechnology. It works on the development of new products and devices, including the encapsulation of cosmetic and food products. The equipment, unique in the country, enables the identification of polymorphs of active pharmaceutical ingredients, as well as the characterization of materials for the mining industry.

Work approach:

Conventional vehicles for active ingredients applied to cosmetics, agrochemical products and foodstuff. Micronizing.
Nanotechnology vehicles for active ingredients. Liposomes and polymeric nanoparticles.
Development of biomaterial for medical reconstruction (implants, synthetic skin).
Development of materials for further application in photovoltaic solar cells.
Analysis and consultancy services on polymorphism of active ingredients (Center for the X-Ray Diffraction Analysis – CaDifRaX, in Spanish).
X-ray diffraction analysis of dust.
